Susan Pinneman (called Gram by Maxwell Kane) is the grandmother of Max, wife of Grim and mother of Annie Kane. In the film, she is portrayed by Gena Rowlands.
She is quiet and polite. She really cares for Max and wants to protect him. She does not like violence or hatred.
